Changes to probation services – 26 June 2021

From 26 June 2021, a new Probation Service will be responsible for managing all those on a community order or licence following their release from prison in England and Wales from this date.

Unpaid work, accredited programmes, structured interventions and senior attendance centres will also be managed by the new Probation Service.

Probation rehabilitation services

New contracts to provide services to people on probation will also start. The services include:

The Ministry of Justice has awarded Interventions Alliance, our parent company, three of these new contracts for the region.
